What a great praise for our Lord and Savior having such a great turnout for our Vacation Bible School June 21st through 25th.  Jocelyn Lovejoy accepted Jesus as her Savior and made a public profession of faith in Christ this past Sunday morning and will be baptized on July 4th at the end of the morning service.  We must thank the McLoud Oklahoma VBS team for coming here helping us with our VBS.

We are sad but happy for Rue and Gwen who will be leaving us.  Sunday, July 4th will be his last Sunday with us to preach.  They will be leaving for their home in Oklahoma, he felt led to leave us at this time.  We are in the process and have been in the process of looking for a new pastor.  We knew they were here only temporarily but have grown to love them so much we hate seeing them leave.  As Pastor Rue puts it, we are sending them off with a great bang setting off fireworks that evening here in the parking lot.

We had planned on having a BBQ on July 4th after the evening service and fun activities after eating with a lot of fellowship.  People are to bring their own fireworks to set off in the back parking lot of the church.  A great time we are going to have but a sad time too.

Our Color Country Baptist Association is having the meeting here on July 11th starting with a Committee Workshop at 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. and worship service at 5:00 p.m followed by fellowship and finger foods.

Baptist Women's Fellowship & Ministries decided since the president was on vacation that they would not have a meeting in July but will pick back up in August.  They have been working on book marks to hand out to visitors on Sundays.
