B. Rue Scott was born on December 7, 1934 in Westbrook, Texas.  He married Gwen Matlock of Cleveland, Oklahoma and they have 3 grown daughters and six grandchildren.  He received the Bachelor of Arts Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, The Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Rue Scott Pastored 5 churches, was Director of Missions, Washington-Osage Baptist Association, Bartlesville, Oklahoma and was a missionary in Malawi, Africa twice and South Africa.  In 1998 to 2006 he became a Partnership Missions Specialist in the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and in 2004 to 2005 Cooperative Program Specialist and retired until now in 2007.  He went to training to become a Transitional Pastor which he is now serving here with us. 

Pastor Rue and Gwen are leaving us on July 5th.  Pray for us while we are looking for a new pastor.  We knew Pastor Rue would only be here for a short time.

Joan lived in California until 1983 where she came to Utah and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Joan loves working for the Lord and has been a volunteer as church secretary for 3 years.
